There is a new app in
development that will help people understand sign language in real
time.
Students of Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm, Sweden are working with Google to develop this app that will translate sign language into speech. The team also won an award for the creativity of their work at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
This Google Gesture app is paired with a band worn on the forearm that analyzes muscle movements made when signing and those movements are then sent to the app and then it is translated to audible words.
Sometimes due to inability to understand sign language people miss lot of interesting and important conversation. Have a look at this videa of Google Gesture App.
Google's goal for this app is to fix the problem by translating sign language the correct way and to produce out the audible words as result in conversation.
But still release date of the app has not been in the lime light. So lets wait for this useful app for the people.
